Quality Inspector
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Montreal, QC
We are looking to expand our team! Dehumidified Air Solutions is home to the industry’s most respected HVAC dehumidification brands: Dectron, PoolPak, Seresco Dehumidifiers, Agronomic IQ and Dehumidified Air Services. These brands create optimal indoor air quality (IAQ) conditions through temperature and humidity control. We are seeking a Quality Inspector for our Montreal facility.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of Inspection programs for:
- Receiving Inspection
- Sheet Metal
- Assembly
- Brazing/Piping
- Wiring (component and unit testing).
- Perform inspections per established inspection plan in each of the above areas.
- Assist in documenting issues using the ACE ProdTest system.
- Participate in developing root cause and corrective action for identified issues.
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Qualifications
- High School or Trade School degree with 3+ years of direct manufacturing experience. Prior work experience with a HVAC manufacturing company is a plus.
- Associates Degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (or similar discipline) with 1-3 years experience is preferred.
- Previous Inspection experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
Required Skills
- Familiarity with use of measuring equipment
- Knowledge of assembly, sheet metal, brazing and wiring operation. Knowledge of these operations in a HVAC or similar manufacturing operation is a plus.
- Blueprint reading. Ability to read electrical schematics is a plus
- Familiarity of Microsoft office
- Detail oriented
- Good organizational and follow-up skills
- Self starter
- Team oriented
- Oral and written communication skills
