Rowdy Gaines - IAQ Mission Advocate
Rowdy Gaines has spent a lifetime in and around indoor pools as an athlete, coach, parent and broadcaster. After decades on deck, he understands how the air above the water affects comfort, performance and the overall experience for everyone who uses a pool.
Rowdy has joined the IAQ Mission to help raise awareness about the importance of healthy indoor air in swimming facilities. His goal is to bring attention to the way poor air quality affects swimmers, coaches, officials, families and the communities these facilities support.
The IAQ Mission is a community effort led by Dehumidified Air Solutions to highlight the role that good air quality plays in a safe and enjoyable indoor pool environment. Through shared experiences, survey insights, on-deck stories and Rowdy’s involvement across the campaign, we hope to give swimmers and facility operators a clearer understanding of the air they rely on.
Why Rowdy Joined the IAQ Mission
Rowdy has seen how irritation, fatigue and poor ventilation can affect people of all ages and skill levels. By lending his voice to the IAQ Mission, he hopes to help people recognize issues that are often felt before they are fully understood. His involvement brings visibility, experience and a personal connection to a topic that affects every visit to an indoor pool.
